Christina Mathis, D.V.M.

Dr. Mathis was born and raised within an island community in Alaska before moving to Texas to embrace country living.

After acceptance into the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, she focused her education on small mammal and exotic medicine. She participated in veterinary externship programs from locations such as the Dallas Zoo, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and the Tennessee Aquarium before joining Summerfields Animal Hospital.

Dr. Mathis has a special place in her heart for dogs and cats and has interests in behavior, ophthalmology, and dentistry. She has goals to become certified in small exotic mammal medicine and is excited to be practicing in Fort Worth. We are so excited to have Dr. Mathis as a part of our veterinary team.

She spends her free time training service dogs and advises trainers from other programs on behavior modification techniques.
